Aadhaar card is required for everything from children’s school and college admission to travel, bank account opening, ITR filing, ration card and driving license etc. In such a situation, it is very important to keep this important document updated.
Sometimes wrong information is entered while generating Aadhaar card. It also includes demographic details like the person’s name, date of birth (Aadhaar Card DOB update), gender etc. In such a situation, UIDAI allows its card holders to update all these details. If there is any mistake in your date of birth i.e. date of birth you can easily correct it, but there are some conditions for updating date of birth information in Aadhaar.
Conditions for change in date of birth-
As per UIDAI rules, if there is a gap of less than 3 years between an individual’s registered date of birth and original date of birth, this information will be updated at the nearest Aadhaar facility center. On the other hand, if the gap is more than three years, you will have to visit the regional Aadhaar center to update it.
