Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana
The Government of Gujarat has taken various steps and measures for the empowerment, safety, healthcare, and education of the women of the state. Launched on 2nd August 2019, Gujarat Vahali Dikri Yojana is an effort of the state government towards the same.
Vahali Dikri Yojana is a flagship program to support the daughters of the state at every step of their lives. Under the scheme, monetary benefits are granted to the beneficiaries for education and marriage. The scheme envisions ensuring a bright and promising future for the females of the state.
Vahli Dikri Yojana Assistance Amount
Early intervention will also be a part of the scheme. Financial assistance of Rs.4000 will be given to the first and second daughter of the family when she enrolls in class I, Rs.6000 will be provided on enrollment of class-IX. Rs 1 lakh will be given to girls after 18 years of age for marriage or higher education. You can understand the assistance amount of the scheme through the table given below.

Introduction
- Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana is the flagship scheme of Gujarat Government for the welfare of Girl Child.
- It was started on 02-08-2019.
- Department of Women & Child Development of Gujarat Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
- The main objective behind launching this scheme is to decreases the school drop outs of girls and encourage them to pursue higher education.
- Under Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana, Government of Gujarat will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,10,000/- to girl child.
- This financial assistance will be provided to girl child in the following 3 stages :-
- Rs. 4,000/- will be provided to girl when she take admission in Class 1st.
- Rs. 6,000/- will be provided to girl when she take admission in Class 9th.
- Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided to girl when she attain the age of 18 years and want to pursue higher education or want to get married.
- The financial assistance provided to girl child in stage 1 and stage 2 will be spend by the beneficiary on her educational expenses.
- And the financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,000/- in stage 3 will either be used for girl’s higher education or will spent on her marriage once she attain the age of 18 years.
- Girl born after 02-08-2019 are eligible to get financial assistance under Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana.
- The annual income of girl family should be below Rs. 2,00,000/-.
- The financial benefit under Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana is only applicable for 2 girl child.

Tell all of you that at present, no process of applying through the online portal is available in the scheme, for this you will have to apply offline, due to the coronavirus epidemic, the government has stopped the process of launching the online portal. Soon a dedicated portal will be launched separately to apply for the scheme. After entering all the required details correctly, applicants can “Submit” it to the concerned authorities for further approval. Once the Vahali Dikri Yojana registration form is approved, the applicants will start receiving the amount directly in their bank accounts.
