Balika Samridhi Yojana: Several schemes have been introduced by the Central Government from time to time for girls. Through these schemes, the government is trying to improve the future of girls and improve their standard of living. One such scheme is Balika Samriddhi Yojana. Through this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to girls from birth to their education. Let’s know about this government scheme.

Balika Samriddhi Yojana was launched for girls in the year 1997 by the Women and Child Development Department of the Central Government. This benefit is given to daughters born in below poverty line i.e. BPL families. Under the Balika Samriddhi Yojana, financial assistance is given to a girl child from birth to her education years.

500 cashback after delivery

First of all, on the birth of a daughter, the mother is given financial assistance of Rs 500 after delivery. After this, the government provides financial assistance of a few rupees at each stage for the girl’s education up to class 10.

Class 1 to 3 – Per year Rs. 300
For Class 4 – Rs. 500
For Class 5 – Rs. 600
For Class 6 & 7 – Annual Rs. 700
For Class 8 – Rs.800
For Class 9 & 10 – Annual Rs. 1000
