Tar Fencing Yojana: In an effort to protect the agricultural produce of local farmers from the harmful effects of wild animals and cattle, the Tar Fencing Yojana Gujarat has been implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation, Government of Gujarat. The scheme, which has undergone significant changes since its inception in 2005, aims to increase its effectiveness and expand its reach to support more farmers. With the objective of increasing farmers’ income, Gujarat Government is actively involved in achieving this goal.

80 areas spread over 33 districts of the state have been covered under the program named ‘Sat Karan Khedoot Kalyan’ inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani. This article will study the details of the wire fencing scheme, its objectives, advantages and specifications.

Purpose of wire fencing scheme

Many schemes have been made for the farmers of the state. The plan to build fencing around the farm is a plan for farmers only. The aim of the wire fencing scheme is to protect farmers’ crops from wild boars, pigs and water buffaloes, deer, so as to reduce the damage caused to standing crops by these animals.

Advantages of wire fencing scheme

Under Tar Fencing Yojana earlier benefits were available in 5 hectares of land, now only 2 hectares of land area can be availed of Kantala Tar Fencing Yojana. Assistance of Rs 200/- per meter will be given on applications of groups of beneficiaries according to cluster of land. 50% of the actual expenditure incurred whichever is lower will be sanctioned.

Eligibility for Tar Fencing Yojana
The application of individual farmers or groups of farmers to this scheme will be evaluated at present. In the review process the details of the farmer or farmer group are evaluated. This includes relevant information about their application and their bank financial account.

Citizens of Gujarat will benefit from this scheme.
Farmers will benefit from this scheme.
Farmers with 2 hectare land area will get benefit.
Aadhaar card holders will get benefit.
Farmers having area of 7/12 and 8-A will get benefit.

How to Apply for Wire Fencing Scheme?
To avail the wire fencing assistance scheme online application has to be done from ikhedut portal. Farmers can do online from VCE from their Gram Panchayat. In addition, online form can be filled from the nearest taluka office and other computer workers. We will get information on how to apply online at home.

First you have to type ‘ikhedut portal’ in ‘Google Search’.
Open the official website https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/ from the result.
After opening the iKhedut website click on “Plan”.
In which, after clicking on the plan, open the “Khetiwadi nee Yojana” on rank-1.
“Khetiwadi Ni Yojana” will show various schemes.
In which you have to click on “Tar Fencing Yojana”.
In which after reading all the information about wire fencing scheme click on “Apply” and open the website.

Application Form

Are you now a registered applicant farmer? In which if it has been registered earlier then “Yes” and if not “No” then further processing has to be done.
If registered by the applicant, Captcha Image has to be submitted after entering Aadhaar card and mobile number.
If the beneficiary farmer is not registered on the I khedut portal
The farmer has to save the application after filling the information completely accurately in the online form.
The beneficiary farmers have to check the details again and confirm the application.
No correction will be made after confirmation of online application.
The farmer can get the print based on the application number.
