Budget 2024 Ayushman Bharat Yojana: The central government can give a big relief to the general public in the budget before the elections. According to government sources, the government may increase the health insurance coverage under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Currently, the government provides a health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for treatment or admission to hospitals. Now the government can increase the existing insurance cover up to 50 percent. Such advice to the government has been given in the budget. If the government increases the health insurance cover by 50 percent, then this cover will increase to 7.50 lakh rupees.

This will be announced in the next budget
The government announced that the country’s budget may be announced on February 1, 2024. The decision to increase Ayushman Bharat cover is expected to be announced in Budget 2024, however, a final decision is yet to be taken.

What is Ayushman Bharat Yojana?
Ayushman is a special scheme of the Government of India, which was launched on 23 September 2018 under the National Health Policy 2017 to achieve the vision of Universal Health Coverage. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana or PM-JAY under Ayushman Bharat is one of the largest health schemes in the world. PMJAY health cover in rural areas is available to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes families, beggars and people living on alms and people living in families aged 16 to 59 years.

So far more than 25.21 crore Ayushman cards have been issued and soon this number is expected to cross 30 crore. There are more than 5.68 crore registered hospitals under the scheme. A network list of 26,617 hospitals has been prepared to provide services under Ayushman Bharat.

-Now enter the mobile number and captcha code given on the screen.
-Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number, it will take you to the PM-JAY login screen.

• Now select the state and from where you can apply for this scheme.
  -Choose any one of mobile number, name, ration card number for how you want to select eligibility.
  One can also check the beneficiary information by clicking on the ‘Family Members’ tab.
  -Alternatively, you can also check eligibility by contacting any Empaneled Health Care Provider (EPCP).
