About Makan Sahay Yojana | Building Assistance Scheme
The Housing Assistance Scheme provides financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh 20 thousand to the socially and educationally backward, economically backward class, nomadic destitute caste homeless ISMOs in rural and urban areas for construction of houses. The period for completion of building construction is 2 years.
In the building assistance scheme, the beneficiary is entitled to receive the first installment of Rs. 40,000 and the second installment of Rs. 60,000 at the Abhrai level. If the third installment is for all the work of the house as well as the toilet, then after installing the toilet, an installment of Rs. 20,000 is received. A total financial assistance of 1 lakh 20 thousand is given. All building work has to be completed within two years after the first installment is received.

Eligibility Criteria for Makan Sahay Yojana
Beneficiary in this scheme must be a resident of Gujarat State.
Beneficiaries should be socially and educationally backward class, economically backward class, nomadic deprived caste of Gujarat.
To avail benefits under this scheme, the beneficiary must have his own plot or his own raw house.
If a person is given a plot for free by the government, he will be eligible to avail benefits under Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana.
No one in the family of the beneficiary wishing to avail the benefit should have another house or plot, if any, they will not get the benefit of this scheme.
