Chief Minister Bhagyalakshin Yojana run by Gujarat State Government which is a new version of this Yojana has been released to provide all the modern benefits to the poor and downtrodden people. Under this government scheme, when a daughter is born in the family of laborers i.e. construction workers Then within one year from the date of her birth, she has to apply in this scheme and she is given a subsidy of Rs 25000 at her own place of birth and when the daughter turns 18 years of age, the entire bond amount is given to her.

The main objective of the Gujarat Bhagyalakshmi Yojana run by the Gujarat State Government is to give birth to girls. This scheme has been started to provide active support to families living below the poverty line when a daughter is born.
Through this scheme of the government, the status of the officials in every society and the economically weak family is given more attention by the government and it makes an effort for the daughters in that family to go further in the social progress. Ways to encourage girls when they are born into vulnerable families and increase female empowerment.
Benefits of Gujarat Bhagyalakshmi Yojana
Through this scheme of the government, first of all, scholarships are given to girls for education. A scholarship ranging from ₹300 to ₹1000 is given to a studying girl till she passes 10th standard.
This scheme of government plays an important role in improving the social condition and upliftment of economically weaker families by providing financial assistance. The scheme provides health insurance to the daughter which extends up to ₹25,000 per annum.
If there is an accident due to any reason, the parents are given Rs 1 lakh for the treatment of the girl child.
In case of any natural disaster in the family benefiting from this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 42,500 is provided to the family.
When the daughter turns eighteen, Rs 34,751 is given.
Annual scholarship awarded under Bhagyalakshmi Yojana
If the daughter studies in class 1 to 3 then she is given a scholarship of Rs 300 per annum.
A scholarship of ₹500 per annum is given to a student studying in 4th standard.
₹600 per annum if studying in 5th standard
700 per annum to a daughter studying in 6th and 7th standard
₹800 per annum to daughter studying in 8th standard
An annual scholarship of Rs 1000 is given to a daughter studying in 9th and 10th standard.
Gujarat Bhagyalakshmi Yojana Eligibility
Enrollment in this scheme has to be done on time when a girl child is born, she has to be officially registered within one year from the date of birth.
Daughters of families who are engaged in any form of child labor to benefit from this government scheme will not get the benefit of this scheme.
The benefit of this scheme of the government is given to the family living below poverty line (BPL).
Daughters should be properly vaccinated as per the health department programme.
Daughters born after 31 March 2006 and belonging to families classified as below poverty line can apply for this scheme.
Girls should have successfully passed 8th standard to get maturity amount if applied in this scheme.
A daughter should not get married before the age of eighteen to take full advantage of the scheme.
