Laptop Sahay Yojana 2024: Gujarat government has launched a scheme to benefit the poor and needy students living in Gujarat. The name of this scheme is Laptop Sahay Yojana.
The state government will provide free laptops to all students. Some poor students living in the state could not attend online lectures due to lack of laptops. That’s why Gujarat government will provide free laptops to students in Gujarat.

Gujarat government has started a scheme to buy laptops worth Rs 1,50,000. This laptop assistance program will provide 80% subsidy to students to purchase a laptop. The student has to pay 20 percent of the total cost.
Students will be able to purchase a high quality laptop through this assistance. Nowadays, laptop prices start from Rs 15,000 to Rs 1,50,000. As technology advances, so does the demand for mobile phones and laptops.
And now there is a lockdown because online tools are very much needed for imparting education to students. Keeping this problem in mind, the Gujarat government started the laptop assistance program. In this scheme, the student will be given financial assistance of Rs 40,000 at an interest rate of 6%.
Eligibility for Laptop Assistance Scheme
Student should be a resident of Gujarat.
Only SC category students will benefit from this scheme.
You must have breed certificate.
The age of the student should be between 18 years to 30 years.
The student should have studied at least in class 12th.
No member of the applicant’s family should be in Government service.
Its annual income is Rs. 1,20,000 should not exceed. If you live in an urban area it should not exceed Rs 1,50,000.
Benefits of Laptop Assistance Scheme
Under this scheme, loans up to Rs 1,50,000 will be available for purchase of laptops or related equipment. 10% of the loan should be given to the beneficiary.
If you buy a laptop worth Rs 40,000.
So the government will give 80% of it i.e. 32,000 rupees and you have to pay 8,000 rupees i.e. 20%.
Amount of Assistance and Mode of Payment under Laptop Assistance Scheme
The Tribal Development Department provides useful schemes for the Scheduled Tribes. Under this scheme, a total loan of Rs 1,50,000 is given to purchase a computer or laptop. The beneficiary student has to repay 10% of the loan amount.
The applicant has to repay the loan obtained in 20 quarterly installments including interest. The loan taken by the applicant shall be repaid on time with an additional penalty interest of 2%.
Feature of Laptop Assistance Scheme
Under this scheme, assistance will be provided to students to purchase laptops at an interest rate of only 6%.
Each beneficiary has to repay this loan in 60 installments.
If you do not repay the loan within the stipulated time, apart from the 6% interest, you will have to pay an additional 2.5%.
This laptop will have accounting, statistics and GST software pre-installed absolutely free.

Laptop Assistance Scheme Application Process
First of all go to Adijati Vikas Nigam Gujarat official website adijatigam.gujrat.gov.in.
Click on “Apply for Loan” button on its home page.
Now there is a new company called Gujarat Triple Development Corporation).
Select recording options.
Enter the mobile number and enter the password after getting it.
You will get a new login id and password.
Now enter your new login id and password to login on the new page.
