Chief Minister Matrushakti Yojana detailed information
Many women in India do not get nutritious food during pregnancy, due to which the health of the mother deteriorates and the health of the unborn child also remains poor. Therefore, to protect the pregnant woman and her child from malnutrition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the launch of Muktri Matru Shakti Yojana on 18th June 2022 mainly for the state of Gujarat.
Under this scheme, the main focus is on the health of pregnant women and their babies. A total period of 1000 days which is 270 days of a woman’s pregnancy and 730 days up to two years after the birth of her child. When a woman is pregnant, she needs a nutritious diet the most, because only by having a nutritious diet can she be nourished as well as her babies.
Thus, for pregnant women to get proper nutrition during pregnancy, Gujarat government will provide 2 kg gram, 1 kg tuvar dal and 1 liter horn oil to such women every month through Anganwadi. Eating a nutritious diet in this way will provide nourishment to the pregnant woman and her baby as well.
Benefits of Chief Minister Matrashakti Yojana Gujarat 2023
Along with the services, it has been decided to provide 2 kg of gram, 1 kg of Tuvar dal and 1 liter of castor oil in Ro-Sation.
The distribution of this kit to the beneficiaries shall be done by the Anganwadi worker/Tedagar sisters from the Anganwadi center to the beneficiary through OTP or other similar means.
This scheme will be implemented from 01/06/2022.
Financial provision: Under the scheme, this year Rs. 811.00 crore has been provided. Also for next five years Rs. More than 4000 crores will be provided.
Eligibility for Chief Minister Matrashakti Yojana 2023
Women from tribal areas in the state of Gujarat will be eligible for this scheme.
Only those women who enroll in Anganwadi will get the benefit of the scheme.
