National Family Support Scheme 2023
The Government of Gujarat runs several schemes with the objective of helping the economically weaker sections of the society. In which, in case of natural or accidental death of the head of the family living below the poverty line (BPL), the Social Security Department and with the aim of providing financial assistance to the family in this sudden calamity/difficulty situation, “Sankat Mochan” program was organized. Scheme” or “National Family Support Scheme”. benefits are given. This scheme is also known as National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS).
Eligibility for National Family Support Scheme Gujarat
Beneficiary has to apply within 2 years of death to get the benefit of Sankat Mochan Yojana.
Under BPL (poverty line), if the main earner (male or female) of a family with a score of 0 to 20 dies due to natural causes or accidents, the family is entitled to the benefit of emergency relief scheme.
Age of deceased male or female should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years.
Beneficiary has to apply within 2 years of death to get the benefit of Sankat Mochan Yojana.

To get benefits under Kutumb Sahay Yojana, the family of the deceased has to apply within 2 years of the death of the principal person. If you apply after 2 years, you will not get the benefit of this scheme
The family of the beneficiary under this scheme should belong to below poverty line families
Applicant’s family must be BPL beneficiaries
Under Sankat Mochan Sahai Yojana, only one person from the family of the deceased has to apply and all the family members have to be allowed to apply.
For the purpose of this scheme, definition of family includes spouse, minor children, unmarried daughters and dependent parents.
