Pradhan mantri Jan Arogya Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya – PMJAY) has been created by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. This ‘Arogya Yojana’ is also known as Ayushman Bharat Yojana. PMJAY was launched on 15th August 2018. Under this scheme, 10 crore families of the country will get benefit, out of which 50 crore people will get health insurance worth 5 lakhs every year. Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, beneficiary families will get absolutely free treatment in government as well as private hospitals. CM Amritham Yojana and Ma Vatsalya Yojana are run by Gujarat Government.
The benefit of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana will be available to the families included under the poverty line during the 2011 census. According to the socio-economic survey conducted in the year 2011-12, the families who have BPL card below the poverty line will get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
There is no caste limit for Ayushman bharat yojana. Households whose annual income is low and living below the poverty line are included. Those living in small and crude houses and houseless families will get benefits under Ayushman Bharat. Apart from this, all types of workers and disabled people of any caste or class will get the benefit of this scheme. Also BPL card holders, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Caste (ST) and Nomadic We Exempt Castes are directly included. No limit is placed on the number and age of persons in such families.

How to benefit from the scheme?
B.P.L card holder whose name is included in the list in Ayushman Bharat Yojana website will get the benefit. These beneficiaries can avail benefits in any government or private hospital affiliated to Ayushman Bharat. Beneficiary is required to show Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Smart Card or Ayushman Card at the time of admission to the hospital. Ayushman Card will be issued by State Health Agency as well as Ayushman Mitra.

A total of 1350 types of surgeries and diseases will be treated under Ayushman Bharat yojana list. Every poor beneficiary of the country will get free treatment for major ailments and major operations as well as hospital treatment. Major operations like cataract, corneal grafting, bypass surgery, chest fracture, urological surgery, caesarean section, delivery, dialysis, spine, brain tumor operation will get treatment upto 5 lakh Ayushman bharat yojana. All transactions in the scheme are paperless-cashless
All patient related transactions in Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be paperless and cashless. For this, an IT Platform will be made operational through the participation of NITI Aayog, Government of India. The amount received by the beneficiary will be directly deposited in the bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer.
