Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana: Under this scheme work has been started to convert diesel petrol pumps of farmers into solar energy pumps. This scheme was announced by former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana was launched to provide better irrigation facility to the farmers. A provision of Rs 34,422 crore has been made by the government for this scheme. 60 percent will be given by the central government to the candidate farmers.
