What is Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana? – Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
A maternity benefit program by the Ministry of Women and Child Development which provides a cash incentive of ₹ 5000/- to pregnant women aged 19 years or above for the first live birth. The incentive is given in three installments and is to be claimed at 150 days, 180 days and at the time of childbirth respectively. The scheme is for women who were working and lost wages due to pregnancy.
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana incentive can be used to meet the daily nutritional requirement of pregnant women. PMMVY is implemented through Anganwadi Centers (AWC). It is being implemented in States/UTs in coordination with Department of Social Welfare and Empowerment and Department of Health and Family Welfare.

Benefits available for the scheme – PM Matru Vandana Yojana Benefits In Gujarati
Under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana a cash incentive of ₹5000 is given in three installments –
First installment – ₹1000/- on early registration of pregnancy at Anganwadi Center (AWC) / approved health facility.
Second installment – ₹2000/- At least one antenatal checkup (ANC) after six months of pregnancy is received.
3rd Installment – ₹2000/- after the birth is registered and the child has received the first cycle of BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis – B, or its equivalent/substitute.
Eligible beneficiaries will receive the incentive provided under Jani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) for institutional delivery and the incentive received under JSY will be counted towards maternity benefits so that an average woman will get ₹6000/-.
Note: All pregnant women and lactating mothers in regular employment with Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking or who are receiving similar benefits under any law for the time being in force are eligible to avail benefits under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY). not entitled

First child:
First Installment : One LMP (Last Menstrual Period) date and ANC date from MCP (Mother and Child Protection) Card Aadhaar Card Prescribed Eligibility Certificate
Second Installment: Child Birth Certificate. Aadhaar Card Child has completed first cycle of immunization (14 weeks)
Second child (if girl)
