What is Tripura Saharsha Yojana?
The Saharsha Yojana was launched by the State Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath at the inauguration of the 49th State Level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition at Agartala on 7th January 2023. Under Tripura Saharsha Yojana 2023, students will learn on social and emotional basis. Not by factor pressure. Due to this they can learn happily and they can affect the development of the state as well as their personal development.
However, the Tripura Saharsha initiative officially started in August 2022 on a pilot basis in 40 government schools in Tripura. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that now this Saharsh Yojana will be started in all government schools of Tripura from the second week of January 2023.
Objective of Saharsha Yojana
The main objective of launching Tripura Saharsha Yojana is to provide non-compulsory education to school children. This is possible only through social and emotional learning. That is why Saharsha Yojana works on Happy Education. The state government also trains the school teachers for this type of education so they teach the students.
Benefits of Tripura Saharsha Yojana

Implementation of Saharsha Yojana
For better implementation of Tripura Saharsh Yojana, the state government is providing training to 30 head teachers of various districts of Tripura. All these headmasters are brand ambassadors of the Saharsha initiative. On the other hand, the head teachers have trained the teachers of 204 schools in Tripura and they will train 200 more teachers soon. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said at the launch event that we have launched a special guide handbook for Saharsh teachers in which all modules are available on the SCERT website.
Eligibility Criteria
Saharsha Yojana is a state government scheme so only Tripura students are eligible to be a part of this scheme.
Under Saharsh Yojana, only students of government aided schools will get benefit.
