Workers to get subsidy on purchase of electric two-wheeler: Gujarat GO Green Yojana 2024
Gujarat GO Green Yojana 2024: Go Green Yojana: Gujarat government runs many support schemes for people of different classes. A scheme has been put in place to encourage the industrial workforce to become a partner in the Government of India’s “Green India” mission and subsidize the purchase of battery-powered two-wheelers that reduce carbon emissions.
GO GREEN; 30% amount or Rs.30,000/- whichever is less for purchase of battery operated two-wheeler by industrial worker will be paid as subsidy and also one time subsidy on RTO Registration Tax and Road Tax of two-wheeler.

With the aim of making the state green – pollution free and making the laborers self-reliant in transport, the state government has launched the “Go-Green Yojana”, GO GREEN India under which special financial assistance will be given to the organized and construction sector laborers on the purchase of electric two wheelers.
Under this scheme, subsidy will be given on purchase of battery operated two-wheeler by organized sector and construction workers. Under which a subsidy of 30 percent to 50 percent or Rs.30,000 will be given on the purchase of electric two-wheeler.
Scooter Subsidy Scheme Rules
Following are the rules for assistance under Gujarat GO Green Yojana 2024.
Subsidy will be available only on authorized sellers and authorized models empaneled by FAME-2 (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) and GEDA (Gujarat Energy Development Agency).
At least 50 km at a time. High-speed models with rechargeable lithium batteries that do not require a separate charging station, two-wheelers recognized under the Motor and Vehicle Act
Manufacturers and their sellers from countries having land border with India (except Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh) cannot be empaneled under this scheme.
Only vehicles manufactured in India under Make in India have been recognized under this scheme.

Also subsidy will be given in RTO tax and road tax. The portal www.gogreenglwb.gujarat.gov.in was launched by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel so that laborers can apply online to get this subsidy.
