Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme
Farmers can get their crops insured under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Bima Yojana launched by the central government. This scheme was started in the year 2016. Every year 5 crore farmers get their crops insured under this scheme. If your crop gets damaged due to natural causes after being insured under this scheme. So the government will give you insurance for your crop, also now the government will issue a number for this scheme under which if you do not get your insurance then you can call on this number and register your complaint.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to the farmers. This amount is remitted to the farmer’s account in 3 installments of Rs 2,000 at an interval of 4 months. So far 15 installments have been received in the farmers’ accounts.
Pradhan Mantri Agricultural Irrigation Scheme
This scheme was launched in the year 2015. The scheme aims to ensure adequate availability of water for farmers who require adequate irrigation in cash crops, expand the area under irrigation and sustain water conservation. For which farmers are given subsidy to install drip irrigation system.
Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana
This scheme was launched on 10 September 2020 by the central Modi government for fish farmers. The scheme will be applicable from the financial year 2020-21 to 2024-25. Under this scheme, the government gives a loan of 3 lakh rupees. Also provides facilities of pond, hatchery, feeding machine and quality testing lab to the farmers.
Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana
Under this scheme, the central government provides subsidy for installing solar pumps, so that farmers can grow good crops at low cost with the help of solar energy. Up to 90 percent subsidy is given under this scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Credit Card Scheme
Any farmer involved in agriculture, fishing and animal husbandry can be a beneficiary of this scheme launched by the Modi government. This scheme started in the year 1998 is run by government and non-government banks. Provides loans to farmers for agricultural needs based on their land holdings and crops. The objective of the scheme is to provide adequate access to banking system to farmers, individual/joint borrowers, owner farmers, tenant farmers, self help groups for agriculture and other needs. In this scheme KCC is issued within 14 days of receipt of application.
