The name of this government scheme is Matrutva Vandana Yojana. In which pregnant women are given financial assistance from the government. This help is provided keeping in mind the health of the woman and her unborn child. This scheme has been launched by the Modi government keeping in mind that children born across the country do not remain malnourished and do not suffer from any kind of disease.

Features of the Scheme

-A pregnant woman should be at least 19 years old.

• In this scheme you have to apply offline only.
• Govt transfers 6000 rupees to women’s account in 3 installments.
• The scheme was launched on 1 January 2017.

How will I get the money?

In this scheme, pregnant women are given 1000 rupees in the first phase, 2000 rupees in the second phase and 2000 rupees in the third phase. The government gives the last remaining Rs 1000 to the hospital at the time of the child’s birth.
