You will get insurance up to 2 lakhs
Government of India has implemented Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana” (PMBSY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) at a very modest premium. The annual premium of PMBSY is only Rs 12. Which can be paid in premium bank and post account. The benefit of this scheme is available in case of accidental death and disability. In case of accidental death of the policyholder, the insurance cover will be Rs 2 lakh and in case of disability Rs 1 lakh.
Bank account required in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana to avail benefits
The annual premium of the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana 2023 scheme has to be paid by the end of 31 May. If the premium has been deducted earlier, your bank or post account will be auto-debited. If you want to continue benefiting from this scheme, it is necessary to maintain a balance in your bank or post account. This scheme can be availed in any single account. The benefits of this scheme are available in the bank account of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.

Benefits available in the scheme
If the premium amount is deducted twice from any other account of the applicant, he can go to the bank and get the money back in the account.
The policy is renewed by the bank and insurance company on June 1 every year.
The premium is paid through auto-debit from the bank.
The applicant can easily apply for PM Suraksha Yojana by visiting the online portal from his mobile or computer.
If the policyholder dies and the claim is not made for 45 days, after 45 days after filling the form, the insurance company offers the nominee a cover of up to 2 lakhs.

Applicant must have a bank account to avail this scheme. Money can be debited directly from the bank account.
This form is in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, Kannada, Odia, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil languages. You can deposit this form by going to the bank where you have a savings account.
