Purpose of Divyang Lagn Sahay Yojana
50 thousand to 1 lakh assistance is provided by the government under this scheme to persons with disabilities when they get married for financially improving their life after marriage. Instrumental Assistance Scheme has been implemented for that purpose.
Who can get the benefit of Divyang Lagna Sahay Yojana?
Age of girl should be more than 18 years and boy should be more than 21 years.
The benefit of the scheme will be availed only once (per couple).
In this scheme, application has to be made within a time limit of 2 years from the date of marriage.
In case of marriage of a disabled person residing in two different districts, the application for availing the benefit of Divyang Marriage Assistance Scheme should be made by the couple in the district of permanent residence of the disabled couple after marriage. The District Social Security Officer of the district which approved the application has to inform the District Social Security Officer of the other district about the approval of the application.
In case a disabled applicant marries a disabled woman from another state, both disabled spouses will be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme on submission of prescribed proof. In case a disabled applicant marries a disabled woman from another state, the District Social Security Officer shall obtain an undertaking from the applicant woman that the female beneficiary has not received disability marriage benefit from her state.
The benefit of this scheme is available to the following percentage and disabled beneficiaries.
Types of Disabilities in Divyang Marriage Assistance Scheme
The benefit of Divyang Lagna Sahay Yojana will be given to the persons having the following type of disability and percentage of disability. Which are as follows.
Assistance available under Divyang Lagn Sahay Yojana
Under this scheme, when a disabled person marries each other, a total of Rs.50000/- + Rs.50000/- per couple is eligible for Rs.1,00,000/-(One Lakh).
In case of disabled to normal person marrying each other, the disabled person will get Rs. 5000/- assistance is given.

Xerox copy of Disability Identity Card and attested copy of Civil Surgeon’s Disability Certificate (Unique Disability ID)
Copy of School Leaving Certificate(LC) of couple.

Certificate of Business Experience
Copy of Bank Passbook
Joint wedding photos of both/ wedding kankotri
Copy of registration certificate registered in the office of the Registrar of Marriages.
Divyang Lagna Sahai Yojana Apply Online
Online application has to be made through the Social Justice & Empowerment Department (SJED) of Gujarat Government through e-Samaj Kalyan Portal (https://esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in/index.aspx). The District Social Security Officer shall have the authority to verify the applications of the Divyang Sadhan Sahay Yojana and approve the assistance and for more information the office of the ‘District Social Security Officer’ at the district headquarters shall be contacted.
