Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana : Free cylinders will be provided under this scheme

The central government has provided domestic LPG gas to all women in India who use unsafe fuel. The wood used by women for cooking is very harmful to their body and it harms the health of women. Therefore, the central government has created the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to provide gas to every household. Under this scheme, gas will be used for cooking in all households.

Today almost all homes have gas facility. Due to which women are being made to cook easily and they are also getting benefit of some money. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by the Central Government on 01 May 2016. Under this scheme, the central government is providing this gas to women of APL and BPL and ration card holders of India.

The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is that all women who use fuel for cooking at home are harmful to their health and that of their children. So they should use LPG gas instead of using firewood so that there is no harm to children and their health.

Besides keeping women and children safe, the environment has also been made pollution free by getting gas under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Beneficiary should be female
Beneficiary should be native of Gujarat state
Families with Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe families
Very backward class families
Families in Tribal Areas
Tea and former garden tribes
Antyodaya Anna Yojana families
People living in rivers or islands
The age of the beneficiary should be more than 18 years
Family of applicant woman should be BPL
Household should not have any other gas connection
The beneficiary woman must have a bank account

Aadhaar proof if beneficiary has BPL card
BPL Ration Card
Aadhaar Card or Election Card (Any ID Card)
Caste Certificate
Supporting proof of residence
2 passport size photographs
Copy of bank account passbook

How to Apply Online for Ujjwala Yojana

First of all, open the official website of Ujjwala Yojana https://www.pmuy.gov.in/en/ on your computer.
Here you will see Inden, Bharat Gas and Hindustan Petroleum (HP) options.
You can also choose to select the option as per your convenience.
After this, work carefully to fill all the details.
Apart from this, if you wish, download the form. You can also fill it and submit it to the gas agency dealer.
After document verification you will be given LPG gas connection.
