SBI launched a new service for crores of customers, such a big job will be done with just Aadhaar number

SBI Scheme: State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a new facility for customers. Bank customers can register for various social security schemes through their Aadhaar card number. This information was given in a press note issued by the bank on August 25. SBI customers do not need a passbook to register for social security schemes.

Now customers visiting SBI Customer Seva Kendras (CSP) will need Aadhaar card for enrollment in social security schemes. SBI’s advance system speeds up the registration process. This will make this work more convenient than before. The press note stated that SBI’s Customer Service Centers (CSP) are kiosks that facilitate SBI customers to conduct transactions.

Regarding this, Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI said that our aim is to remove any kind of things that hinder access to financial security. Following this move, the coverage of social security schemes is expected to increase significantly, which will ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach those who need them the most. The aim is to facilitate customers by reducing paperwork.

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) is a life insurance. Account holders between 18 to 50 years of age can purchase this policy. According to the Department of Financial Services website, its live cover is Rs 2 lakh and the annual premium is Rs 436. This premium is auto debited from any person’s bank account.
