In this scheme the injured who is admitted to the hospital, can get all the help available in the hospital. Also if some treatment CT scan, diagnostic treatment is also given assistance. If it is not available in that hospital, the injured can get this treatment from another nearby hospital if available. Which has to be paid by the admitted hospital. It is paid at the rates fixed by the Government of Gujarat.
Eligibility for Vehicle Accident Assistance Scheme
In this scheme, the benefit of all the injured is provided by the Gujarat government. All persons injured in a road accident within Gujarat State limits will be benefited by this scheme regardless of financial status, state or nationality. In order to avail the benefits of this scheme, the injured person or his relatives have to give consent form for availing the benefits.
No cash assistance is paid to the injured in this scheme. But the cost incurred by the government is paid directly to the hospital. The injured does not have to pay any money for the procedure to avail the benefit of this scheme.
